Writers' BOOT CAMP

Have you noticed that not everyone wants to write? If YOU want to write something, anything, and it isn't happening by itself then the Writers' Boot Camp is for you. The Mission Statement of the Boot Camp is to help writers, any writers, do any writing and in order to achieve this goal you and I probably need to have a talk. WHERE? So if you are in the Otford area, come over for a no-obligation, cup of tea or coffee and let's discuss your writing. Maybe all you need is a good editor or proofreader and I can refer you to one or maybe you just need the serene environment of the Writers' Boot Camp or maybe you need my mentoring to gently encourage or robustly yell the writing out of you. WHAT DO I OFFER? The BOOT CAMP provides a solution for nearly every excuse you may have given for not writing i.e have you said I just don't have the time, the space, the discipline? WRITING HAVENs are run at the Helensburgh Community Centre on Wednesdays for 90 minutes and the Thirroul Library (Ocean Breeze room) on Fridays for 2 hours. The havens give you peace and quiet to 'sit down and write' on your own project. The Helensburgh fee is $10 ($5 concession) and the Thirroul fee is $12 ($6 concession). MONTHLY COACHING MEETINGS are run at the Boot Camp in Otford on a regular basis. Please enquire about times and fees and whether a group option or a private session will suit you. To give you an idea, monthly group meetings cost $55 ($40 concession) per month but to ensure your commitment, a three month package is purchased and paid for at the first meeting. There is also a discount for purchasing a 6 month package. For those wanting to come to the BOOT CAMP to write for the whole day, the fees range from $50 to $420 a day depending on whether you have a concession card, whether you need food provided and how much mentoring time you require from me. Please note that coffee/tea is available free at all times for all writers at morning, lunch and afternoon breaks. Low cost option The fee is $80 ($50 concession) a day per writer and is for writers who do not need my mentoring services and who just want to write in the peaceful surrounds and are willing to share the Boot Camp with other writers on that day and will bring their own food. (Add $20 if you would like food provided and please make mention of special diet needs.) Mid-range option If you would like mentoring at morning, lunch and afternoon tea breaks and are happy to share the Boot Camp with other writers the fee is $160 ($100 concession) per day per writer or if you want the Boot Camp to yourself the fee is $320 ($200 concession). (Add $20 if you would like food provided and please make mention of special diet needs.) Exclusive Day Package If you want exclusive access to the Boot Camp without other writers but with my over-the-shoulder mentoring the fee is $400 ($250 concession) a day. (Add $20 if you would like food provided and please make mention of special diet needs.) Additional Services If you require me to pre-read your writing to gain some familiarisation prior to Boot Camp there is no charge for the first 1000 words. Please enquire about the fee for longer pieces of writing. Best regards Karen
