Choose from swedish massage, hot and cold therapeutic stone therapy, aromatherapy massage, raindrop technique and reflexology...the choice is yours and all valuable to the wellness of our bodies. Swedish massage $60/hr Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. Hot and/or cold stone therapy massage $60/hour Using Lithos Therapy of heated and chilled rocks, they deliver thermotherapy and cryotherapy. This accelerates the process of relaxation and healing. It promotes optimum results faster! Improves circulation(blood and lymph), encourages the removal of toxins, reduces swelling and bruising, provides an analgesic effect, alleviating stiffness and pain, and last but not least, pure relaxation! While all types of massage can help relieve pain caused by tense muscles, stiff joints or injuries, a hot stone massage may provide greater relief due to the intense nature of the massage. Because the hot stones allow the massage therapist to penetrate deeper, you may find that a hot stone massage leaves you feeling physically better than a Swedish or deep-tissue massage that does not incorporate heat Have a chat with me to see what would suit your needs best! In addition to being performed as a technique in its own right, the various elements of Raindrop Technique can be used to complement most other modalities, including massage (all forms), reflexology, bowen technique, shiatsu, chiropractic and physiotherapy. Raindrop Technique derives its name from the art of dripping unadulterated, therapeutic-grade essential oils onto the body from a height (like rain), so that the oils interact with the physical body as well as the energy field. This was inspired by the Native American belief that raindrops falling from a height may purify and cleanse the body and spirit. Because the essential oils easily penetrate the skin and muscles, the technique works on deep levels of the body without requiring hard pressure or force. Raindrop Technique was developed by essential oil researcher and naturopath Dr. Gary Young due to research showing that many forms of spinal misalignment are caused by muscle spasms and inflammation-producing bacteria and viruses that reside along the spine. Reflexology $30/half hour When we are stressed our body's defenses break down and we become more susceptible to illness and disease. Reflexology reduces stress by generating deep tranquil relaxation, helping the body balance itself and allowing healing energy to flow.
