Savin Park Equestrian

Throughout my Horse riding, training and coaching career I’ve always believed that the key to success is to have the ability to unlock your mind and approach every task at hand with self belief. When you believe in yourself your confidence and positive energy will be rewarded with a calm and attentive horse. “Riding with your mind” is the first step in the right direction as when you as a rider are relaxed your seat in the saddle becomes deep, your back becomes elongated and your hands should become light as feathers. The poem below has been a mantra of mine not only for my approach to Equestrian but to my life as a whole. I hope this poem can be the key to unlock the padlock to yourself belief as it does mine. - Tara Jordan-Savin It’s All in a State of Mind If you think you are beaten, you are; If you think you dare not, you don't; If you like to win, but you don’t think you can, It's almost a cinch you won't. If you think you'll lose, you're lost; For out in the world you'll find Success begins with a fellow's will; It's all in a state of mind. For many a game is lost Ere even a play is run, And many a coward fails Ere even his work is begun. Think big, and your deed will grow; Think small, and you'll fall behind; Think that you can, and you will; It's all in a state of mind. If you think you are out-classed, you are; You've got to think high to rise; You've got to be sure of yourself before You ever can win a prize. Life's battles don't always go To the stronger or faster man, But sooner or later the man who wins Is the man who thinks he can. Author - Walter D. Wintle
