Positive Birth Perth

Positive Birth Perth is FREE and POSITIVE about birth! We are open to all women and men to come together and share experiences, thoughts, feelings and insight about childbirth. We are a part of The Positive Birth Movement which believes that every woman deserves a positive birth. That is, a birth in which a woman feels she has freedom of choice, access to accurate information, and that she is in control, powerful and respected. Positive Birth Perth meets fortnightly on Friday mornings in the Gentle Beings studio in North Fremantle and facilitated by childbirth educator Nikki Hunt. Every month is themed and will always have birthing professionals such as midwives, doulas, childbirth educators, etc. attend for any questions, thoughts and information. The group aims to be a helpful part of your pregnancy, to help you consider what YOU want your childbirth experience to be. This doesn't necessarily mean a "drug free" or "natural delivery" - it's about you making informed decisions with a clear understanding of what is important to you and your baby. This is a warm and welcoming environment, an opportunity to explore and challenge any negative expectations or ideas about birth. And of course a time to drink tea and eat cake - lots of cake :)) For any further information please contact Nikki on 0414 544 931, she would be delighted to hear from you.
