Yoga is a holistic healing approach and our aim is to share this knowledge in a way that allows our students to apply it to their everyday lives. After all, Yoga exists in every moment, whether we are on or off our Yoga mat. Metta Yoga’s philosophy is simply based on the word ‘Yoga’, which stems from the Sanskrit word 'yuj', meaning ‘to bring together’ or ‘to unite’. We aim to create unity in the local community, unity in our mind, body and spirit, as well as unity or oneness with all of life. What is Metta? Metta is a Pali word for loving kindness, friendship and universal love. It is the active interest in others. It is the wish for all beings to be well and happy. Practising Metta has great healing effects on the mind, body and spirit. Metta Yoga is an eco-friendly space. One practice of Yoga is ‘Ahimsa’, which means non-harming thoughts and actions, not only to ourselves and others but also to our environment. Therefore, we have created this space using eco friendly products. For further information please contact Emily - 0407 991 630 or info@mettayoga.com.au. Namaste.
