Maryborough News

Maryborough News is an independent community service, occasionally sharing news, information, links and events with the Central Goldfields region of Victoria. Readers are also welcome to use the page to share their own thoughts with the community. Although we are called 'Maryborough' News, we do make sure to cover surrounding towns such as Alma, Amphitheatre, Avoca, Bealiba, Bowenvale, Carisbrook, Castlemaine, Clunes, Daisy Hill, Dunolly, Flagstaff, Laanecoorie, Majorca, Maldon, Natte Yallock, Newstead, Red Lion, Talbot and Timor. The staff at Maryborough News also appreciate the importance of locals having an opportunity to speak out and voice their thoughts on a public forum. Commenting on posts is therefore both welcome and encouraged. We also endorse a no censorship policy for our comments system. Readers are also free to post their own news, thoughts, events or promotions directly to the page's timeline for others to read and interact with. To encourage this kind of discussion, the default landing page displays all postings, not just those of the Maryborough News staff. The only requests we make are that readers please refrain from spamming the page, insulting or bullying fellow readers, posting the private and confidential information of others, and taking advantage of Maryborough News for unethical commerical purposes. Feedback, suggestions and news reports are both welcome and appreciated. We can now be directly contacted via Facebook messaging (link is on the main page.) Thank you for interacting with Maryborough News.
