Kondalilla Wellness Centre

Homeopathy is a holistic system of healthcare based upon clear, systematic and replicable principles. Considered a complimentary or alternative medicine, homeopathy is used throughout the world and is considered by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to be the second leading system of healthcare globally. Many people find homeopathy to be very gentle as very small doses are all that is required. A homeopathic consultation involves an in depth discussion with your homeopath, usually an hour and a half for the first consultation, and includes a complete health history and a thorough discussion on your current health concerns. This may include anything from chronic or diagnosed illnesses you may be living with, to something as seemingly trivial as an ingrown toenail! All facets of your health are considered, whether they be emotional, mental, physical, functional or neurological. It all matters to your homeopath. This allows a registered homeopath to accurately select a remedy from thousands of possibilities. The principles which underly homeopathy state that the most similar a remedy is to your entire picture of health, the more effective it will be - that's why only very small doses are required. Many people ask: "how can something in such a small amount help me?". The answer is that homeopathic remedies do not work like pharmaceutical drugs, or even like supplements or herbs you might buy over the counter. Instead they address the cause of disease and act like a gentle trigger to allow your own body, or mind, to restore itself to wellness. Some physical examination may be required during your consultations, such as blood pressure measurements and other examinations which may be appropriate. This ensures your homeopath can monitor your progression effectively and can be necessary in selecting a good remedy for you. Your registered homeopath may also discuss lifestyle, dietary and stress related influences on your health and how to address these where necessary.
