Festival Fixation

What is Festival Fixation? Festival Fixation is your one-stop festival maintenance department. Whether it's a one off, one day event or an annual, week long musical festival, we offer skilled, professional services to take the headache and hassle out of running a festival. With 27 years experience in set up, pack down and networking at some of Queensland's best loved and well attended festivals, there's not a lot we don't know about how to get it right. 27 Years Experience Setting up Festivals 18 Years Security and Bar Management Experience 17 Years Experience in the Construction Industry 5 Years Community Development and Skill Sharing 6 years Dept Head Maintenance ( A-TEAM ) Woodford folk festival. PERSONAL SUMMARY I have many skills, interests and life experiences. In my 27 years of setting up festivals I have learned many things about what works and what doesn't in putting on both large scale and smaller music festivals. I have a wealth of knowledge about what factors are likely to contribute to ongoing success and what can generally be flagged as high risk practices. 18 years of this included security and bar management which called for strong skills in dealing with the public in times of high energy and excitement. The last 5 years I have been employed as the Head of Department for A-Team, the Maintenance Department of Woodford Folk Festival. The organisation of work crews that this entails has given me the opportunity to facilitate the sharing of skills and knowledge, which I consider to be the life blood of community development. 17 years in the construction industry has given me multi-faceted knowledge and understanding of how to construct everything from 48 story buildings to a dog box. My work with the Mona Mona community increased my cultural awareness of Aboriginal concerns and gave me the invaluable experience of working with the cohesion of a community. Here I honed my skills in problem analysis, formulating creative solutions to meet the project's demands. My main focus in recent years has been as an active contributor to the organisation and production of viable and top quality music festivals, coupled with my commitment to skill-sharing and mentoring. It is from this standpoint that I enter into a new phase and offer my services as Festival FIXation: experienced Festival Crew Organiser, practical Trouble Shooter, Maintenance and Security. Our motto is "We don't have problems we have solutions" Feel FREE to call me anytime for other info on what Festival Fixation can do. Peace love and good times !
