Dysons Wood Aviaries

Dysons Wood Aviaries is a small family business, specialising in breeding a variety of Australian Native and Exotic species. Our primary aim is to utilise our experience in animal husbandry to breed healthy birds for our customers to enjoy for many years to come. Although we've only been breeding birds for the last decade, our family history goes back many generations in Agriculture across various sectors. Currently our family farm specialises in breeding both British and European Continental beef cattle. Our passion for aviculture began in breeding Australian Grass Finches, before slowly expanding into Native Parrots. Now we have registered the business, Dysons Wood Aviaries has welcomed a number of new species to our collection. Currently our aviaries accommodate a wide range of birds including: Conures Corella Galah Indian Ringneck Japanese Quail Kakariki King Parrots Musk Lorikeets Purple Crowned Lorikeets Quaker Parrots Rainbow Lorikeets Red-Breasted Parakeets Scaly-Breasted Lorikeets Sulphur Crested Cockatoo As we look ahead to the future Dysons Wood Aviaries will be expanding upon the species we breed to include: Black Cockatoos Eclectus Parrots Gang-Gang Cockatoos Hahns Macaws Jenday Conures Sun Conures This is just a snapshot of our growth plans for the species we aim to breed in the future. We are involved with Bird Rescue organisations, and always look to adopt and/or purchase unwanted Birds to offer a healthy and loving home. If you have a pet bird that you can't dedicate to care for any longer, speak to us. Our ethos is to always put the bird first, and we often take unwanted birds in and grow our family. Dysons Wood Aviaries has developed a structured process for hand-rearing our birds, including tailor-made diets and early stage training so that we can ensure our young stock is healthy and ready for their new homes. Located in Caboolture on the Northside of Brisbane we are comfortably based in between the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. We welcome any questions about our bird life, or questions relating to aviculture in general. Feel free to contact us directly through our website, via telephone, or on Facebook.
