Cupcake Crayzee

My name is Tammy Lye-James and, together with my husband, Peter James we own and operate Cupcake Crayzee, a fully licensed home-based cupcake business located in Logan City on the southside of Brisbane. We also run Introduction to Cupcake Decorating Courses. I have always baked cupcakes.... but it was not until a health crisis that I realised how passionate I was about baking and decorating cupcakes. In March 2011 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. During my treatment I baked cupcakes to thank all the staff. During my recovery I baked more cupcakes to raise funds for breast cancer research. My cupcake baking took me back to my childhood when my mum would cook patty cakes as I knew them, how far cupcakes have come since then. I have undertaken cupcake courses and have decorated thousands of cupcakes with all my fundraising. It was during my fundraising that I realised how passionate I felt about having my own little cupcake business. They called me cupcake crazy at work and the name stuck and a colleague at work suggested this be my business name. It has been a lengthy process but Cupcake Crayzee is now ready to go. 10% of every order will be donated to breast cancer research. Fundraising cupcake stalls which will be posted on this site and on my blog on the website. Thank you to everyone who purchases our cupcakes. We really appreciate.... My favourite quotes during treatment were "When you choose Hope... Anything is Possible" as quoted by Christopher Reeve... and that is how I live my life.... I hope tomorrow I am here.... I hope one day there is a cure for cancer and I hope that if I am fortunate enough to bake and decorate your cupcakes that I hope you enjoy them.... I also fell in love with the quote, "You don't know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have" - So true.... Thanks everyone... Much love and hugs xoox
