Canberra Yoga Space

Canberra Yoga Space is the first dedicated yoga studio in Canberra, offering a comprehensive range of styles and focus areas. Offering holistic yoga to revitalise your total well-being, CYS is located in Philip (Woden) ACT. OUR APPROACH - “CONNECT, REVITALISE, CREATE” Canberra Yoga Space is a facility which allows people to revitalise themselves and their inner being. Think of it just like getting an ‘energetic shower’. As you revitalise your inner-being and the mental chatter diminishes, it will empower you to live healthier, listen to your true self with ease, and thus support you to create the life you want. CORE PRINCIPLES - NAMASTE – ‘The divinity in me bows down to the divinity in you.’ This principle underlies the relationship between any two individuals within the space. It requires the highest level of professionalism and presence of mind when teaching, bearing in mind to be of service to the individual’s highest good. THE INTENTION BEHIND THE BREATH – The intention behind breath awareness and movement with the breath is to unblock energy pathways, and revitalise the individual. The breath allows the body to open and move into position (instead of pulling into place). THIS IS A NURTURING SPACE – There are no ‘shoulds’ or ‘should-nots’ in this space. This is an allowing space. We nurture our teachers in their passion and professional development. For you the practitioner – we offer a range of different yoga styles which resonate with different individuals at different points in time. These classes are designed to be responsive to your needs, revitalise and nurture you. THIS IS A SAFE SPACE – Focus on good anatomy and physiology is fundamental.
