1300FLOWERS

1300 FLOWERS is a leading online retailer of flowers and gifts which prides itself as being Australian, authentic and down to earth with a warm sense of humour. Before the formation of 1300 FLOWERS, the Australian floral retailing industry was characterised by large relay operators with thousands of member florists delivering nationally or small florist shops who could only deliver in their local areas. 1300 FLOWERS was founded in 2007 to offer the consumer the best of these two worlds offering national delivery of flower arrangements crafted by local florists who cared about each flower order. The secret of this was to create a hand-picked network of passionate local florists who shared this ideal. This may sound simple but the actual meeting, greeting, communicating and formal sign on process took many months and many hours in the air and on the road right across this great country of ours! The end result is, of course, worth it as 1300 FLOWERS now has a tight team of florist partners who can deliver nationally and put the appropriate care and attention into every single flower arrangement. To support this new network of hand selected local florists, 1300 FLOWERS then developed an industry leading website, mobile site and customer service team to ensure that consumers could purchase easily, conveniently and securely. For example, the 1300 FLOWERS Customer Service Team is based in Brisbane staffed by knowledgeable and friendly staff who fully understand that sending flowers is not simply the delivery of a gift but the sending of emotion. For over two decades the Starlight Foundation has brightened the lives of seriously ill children and their families and 1300 FLOWERS is privileged to be involved with such a worthy cause.
